Matt Roloff, star of the reality show Little People Big World, has shared his thoughts on the Natalia Grace situation and controversy.
The documentary titled “The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks” has brought Natalia’s story back into the spotlight.
In response, Matt has expressed his opinions on the entire controversy and what he believes to be the truth.
Natalia Grace, who claims to have been abandoned by her adoptive father and accused of being an adult, is still facing allegations from people who believe she was older than she claimed.
However, Natalia attributes her mental health issues to the abuse she says she suffered at the hands of her mother.
The most troubling aspect of the situation is that Natalia insists she was only 10 years old when she was abandoned, while her adoptive parents legally changed her birthdate to make her appear older. The court supported the parents, and Natalia lost her childhood as a result, despite her claims that it was not factual.
Expressing his frustration, Matt Roloff, known for his role on Little People Big World, wrote, “It does seem like they have misdiagnosed her as Spondyleopiphyseal (SED)… but she seems to have the same form of dwarfism as I do… Diastrophic Displasia.” While Matt clarified that he is not a doctor or geneticist, he expressed the need to hear from experts regarding the entire situation.
Natalia now claims to be 22 years old, which is the age her adoptive parents attempted to change her age to when she was only 9. A dentist who examined her childhood X-rays determined that they belonged to an eight or nine-year-old. Blood samples also supported her claims. If her adoptive parents’ assertions were accurate, she would now be 34 years old, not 22.
Matt Roloff’s comments have brought attention to Natalia Grace’s situation. He expressed his anger at how such a situation could occur and extended his best wishes to Natalia. Many of Matt’s Instagram followers agreed with his sentiments, including Mike and Marcella Stanley, whose son Brody has Diastrophic Displasia. They responded, “She’s DD clear as day! And yes, this is appalling. I hope she has a peaceful life now away from these people and is welcomed into the LPA community.”
Other comments expressed similar sentiments, highlighting the heartbreaking abuse Natalia endured and expressing support for her future well-being and integration into the Little People of America (LPA) community.
